Microchanneling
These treatments can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, stretch marks, and rosacea enhanceing cellular activity by creating thousands of microchannels in the skin barrier. Each channel prompts an inflammatory response, initiating collagen formation.

With minimal physical discomfort, I am able to do the procedure without numbing cream and without any noticeable pain. Post-procedure, most clients report a “tight” feeling or warmth in their skin. Should be done in a series for best results. The number of sessions needed depends on the severity of the issue being treated. For example, mild signs of aging may only require one or two sessions, while more severe wrinkles and scarring may require four or six. Who cannot get microchanneling:
If you have any underlying condition that significantly impairs your immune system, it is a good idea to avoid microchanneling. Examples include but are not limited to active radiation or chemotherapy, uncontrolled diabetes, chronic inflammatory skin disease, Accutane in the past 2 years, hemophilia or similar bleeding disorder. Also anyone with stainless steel allergies should not do this treatment. We also discourage treatments for those who are pregnant or nursing.
Microchanneling and microneedling are similar skin rejuvenation techniques that both stimulate collagen and elastin production to improve skin appearance. However, they differ in the devices used and the technique, which can result in different levels of discomfort, inflammation, and downtime.
Device used:
Microchanneling uses a device with pyramid-shaped microchannels that create evenly
spaced channels in the skin. Microneedling uses a handheld roller with tiny needles that creates small punctures in the
skin.
Technique:
Microchanneling uses a linear stamping technique covering more surface are on the skin. Microneedling involves dragging the device or roller over the skin the channels are further apart.
Discomfort: Microchanneling is less abrasive and less uncomfortable than microneedling.
Inflammation: Microchanneling results in less inflammation than microneedling.
Downtime: Microchanneling has minimal downtime, while microneedling requires more
careful skin care after treatment and can cause more downtime.
Skin type: Microchanneling is gentler on the skin, making it a good option for people with
sensitive skin.
Treatment of acne scarring: Microchanneling can be especially helpful for treating acne
scarring.
